The extremely fast growth rate of the Cornish X means that at two weeks they are already out of the cute fuzzy stage. All poultry breeds go through the gangly half-feathered phase, these guys also have the fast weight gain to add to the oddness of this stage. These pictures were taken just after feeding so they're getting ready for a nap. It's hard work eating so much. Cornish X are the most popular meat birds in America, but man are they strange.
