There's nothing like a fresh coat of snow and blue sky to put me a holiday frame of mind. Well that and a rum ball with my coffee. The tree is up and decorated. The kittens think it's one giant toy display, but they're still small and cute so I don't mind too much. There is a pot of candied orange rind in process on the stove. It's enveloping the house with a wonderful citrus cloud. All this has done wonders to dispel a sense of gloom that had over taken me in the last few weeks.
Chocolate-Walnut Rum Balls --- I omit the walnuts so as not kill my sister-in-law.
