white currant lemon verbena infused vodka


So my white currant bush produced about a quart of berries. Woo Hoo! I can't grow blueberries but the currants are going gang-busters. I had settled on a pickling my harvest and using them in salads, so off I went to find the vinegar. However being a person of faulty memory and limited attention span I found the vodka first. So with Not Martha's grapefruit infusion fresh in my mind, the plan changed.  Making infusions are really easy, take good tasting berry/herb add booze/vinegar/oil and wait.  

I'll have to start having happy hours or perhaps an aperitif in the garden.
